2008 Magnum offers 3 finely tuned engines:
- 5.7 HEMI V8 with Multi-Displacement that gives out more power than any Dodge passenger vehicle since the 70s. 340 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.
- 3.5-litre High-Output SOHC V6, 250 HP and 250 lb-ft of torque.
- 2.7-litre DOHC, 190 HP and 190 lb-ft of torque.
The 2008 Dodge Magnum Multi-Displacement System (MDS) means the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 Engine combines the power of a V8 with the fuel efficiency of a large V6 Engine.
R/T performance group available on R/T giving 10 more hp, performance seats, brakes, and suspension.
Navigation radio is available on the SXT.
The all-wheel drive (AWD) models deliver outstanding handling ability on slippery surfaces. In addition to Magnum's standard equipment, they include:
- Frontal differential.
- Transfer case.
- A customized all-wheel drive front suspension.
- 18-inch wheels.
- A 5-speed automatic transmission with auto/stick.
When equipped with the Trailer-Tow Prep, with load leveling and height control (Available with R/T, RWD, AWD):
- Magnum R/T can tow 1,724 kilograms (3,800 pounds).
- Magnum SXT AND R/T with 3.5 or 5.7 litre can tow 907 kilograms (2,000 pounds).
- Magnum SE with 2.7-litre engine can tow 454 kilograms (1,000 pounds).
Magnum has 770 litres (27.2 cu. ft.) of storage space behind the rear seats, which increases to 2,027 litres (71.6 cu. ft.) when the rear seats are folded. \
